PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

BERKELEY SCHOOL INC., Baguio City (June 2005 – March 2010)

Department Head

  • Facilitated and conducted orientations to parents and new teachers during the start of a school year
  • Ensured proper and efficient coordination with the school head, guidance counselor, other department coordinators, class advisers, and other teaching personnel for the growth of students and the sound implementation of policies, rules and regulations
  • Consistently conducted follow-up and reports about students with misbehavior  and academic deficiencies
  • Kept an updated records of students with failing marks on a quarterly basis
  • Recommended measures and programs to help academically deficient  and misbehaved students after proper consultation with the class adviser, subject teachers involved, and guidance counselor
  • Worked and assisted classroom advisers and other teaching personnel in the maintenance of a conducive learning atmosphere in class
  • Supervised line formations and student gatherings during flag ceremony and other important school programs

–          Advisory class has received numerous awards and certificates in the monthly search for Cleanest and Most Organized Class

–          Third Year advisory class won the Over-all Champion in the school held Intramurals

–          Third Year advisory class won Champion in the Awiting Bayan and Katutubong Sayaw competition during the Buwan ng Wika 2008, Champion in Speech Choir during the English Festival 2008

–          Fourth Year advisory class won Champion in the Awiting Bayan competition 2009

ESL Teacher

  • Taught English as a Second Language to foreign students particularly Koreans during summer from school year 2006-2009
  • Prepared and provided a systematic program of grammar and reading skills to students
  • Recorded and computed results of the evaluation tools given to the students

 Coach/ Club Adviser

  • Organized and advised the school’s Speech and Dramatics Club (2005-2010), Culinary Arts Club (2008-2010), and Otako Club (2009-2010)

–          Won two over-all championship awards in the Karol Josef Wojtyla Speech Competition in 2007 and 2009

–          Written and directed two school play productions “The Adventures of Meteora” and “Happily Ever After”
