American Hustle: My Movie Review

American Hustle: My Movie Review

When I first heard that Jennifer Lawrence and Bardley Cooper are to star in another David O. Russel film, I can’t help myself but look forward to another Silver Linings sequel because I do love them together on screen. But with the addition of the very talented Mr. Christian Bale, Amy Adams, and Jeremy Renner, I sure figured this film will be very interesting. Turns out to be even better more than I expected.

American Hustle is a fictional film set in the alluring world of one of the most stunning scandals to rock our nation, American Hustle tells the story of brilliant con man Irving Rosenfeld (Christian Bale), who along with his equally cunning and seductive British partner Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams) is forced to work for a wild FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Bradley Cooper). DiMaso pushes them into a world of Jersey powerbrokers and mafia that’s as dangerous as it is enchanting. Jeremy Renner is Carmine Polito, the passionate, volatile, New Jersey political operator caught between the con-artists and Feds. Irving’s unpredictable wife Rosalyn (Jennifer Lawrence) could be the one to pull the thread that brings the entire world crashing down. (Movie info courtesy of Sony Pictures Entertainment)

Now, after watching the film there’s only one word that lingered on my mouth “genius”. Yep, Director David Russel did it again! For a crime movie, this one is surprisingly funny all thanks to the outstanding cast. Hats off to Christian Bale for simply being the man of perfection in every role that he’s given but Jennifer Lawrence is just WOW! What’s wrong with this girl? She’s so young but delivers like a pro! She’s amazingly crazy and I love her!

If you haven’t seen this movie, well you better do. If you’re looking for something fresh, raw, fun and with the delight of 70’s music, wardrobe and hairstyles American Hustle is a delicious treat.
